Dovedale Hike

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and took part in the hike at Dovedale on Monday 28th August 2023. The hike was organised to raise awareness for the Autistic Society and the money raised will go towards supporting The Leicestershire Autistic Society.

The Leicestershire Autistic Society was formed over 20 years ago and provides support, information and advice to families and professionals dealing with autism in Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland. It is a volunteer led organisation and one of their main aims is to raise general awareness of ASD.

Breaking Down Barriers likes to support other charities and raise awareness of their aims as well as being a sports charity itself. The hikes organised by Breaking Down Barriers are not only a great way to support amazing causes, but they are also a good way to keep active which is beneficial to both physical and mental health.
