MISSION

TO CREATE A QUALITY SUSTAINABLE NETWORK OF YOUTH AND COMMUNITY SERVICES, CREATING AWARENESS BY GIVING THEM THE SKILLS AND CONFIDENCE TO MAKE BETTER CHOICES FOR THEIR FUTURE.

VISION

EMPOWER THE COMMUNITY BY SUPPORTING THE DELIVERY OF LASTING POSITIVE SOCIAL CHANGE.

BDB Sports is a charitable organisation working with communities across the nation. The charity was established in 2016 to increase community participation in a wide variety of sports as a result of requests from the community.

Our vision is to empower the community by supporting the delivery of lasting positive social change. We provide regular sports sessions, volunteer opportunities, coach education programmes and help provide facilities at subsidised rate to other charitable and community organisations.

BDB Sports also works to establish and maintain community facilities, whether alone or in partnership with any other organisation supporting the same objectives. We find gaps in our facilities that can be used by vulnerable groups and those from disadvantaged backgrounds to support the improvement of their physical and mental health through sports.

OUR COMMITMENT

BDB Sports is committed to making a positive change in the community we work with. We believe in a level playing field, empowering every young person to create a better future for themselves through sports.

We provide support to every individual we work with. Supporting our employees, the community and other charitable organisations around us has always been important to us. We are committed to giving back to the community and helping those who may need our support in any way that we can.

BDB Sports is working on a number of projects to support and promote a healthy lifestyle both physically and mentally, locally and globally.

BDB Sports aims to establish local youth and community hub that offers out-of-school activities, life skills workshops, volunteering opportunities, and safe spaces to socialise, relax, and have fun. The organisation prides itself on creating good partnerships and working closely with organisations to deliver projects that meet the needs of the community.

BDB Sports also provides spaces and facilities for sports to a large number of trusted sports clubs, community organisations, and charities. The charity recognises the importance of sports and physical activity as a tool to improve lives and strengthen communities. However, securing stable, long-term, affordable access to facilities is a growing challenge for many, hindering their ability to deliver their activities. To address this, Breaking Down Barriers maximises income generation through regular fundraising events, outreach programs, and growing relationships with key stakeholders and the local authority.

The organisation has sponsored several charity and community groups, including Help the Homeless, Leicester Islamic Academy, Community Football Academy, Oadby & Wigston Muslim Association, One Nation, UDES, and Sports in You. Additionally, Breaking Down Barriers has organised successful community events, including a family fundraiser event in partnership with LIA Relief Trust and Help the Homeless, Leicester, which raised over £4,000. Through these initiatives, Breaking Down Barriers aims to bring communities together and make a positive impact in people's lives.

Our aim is to continue to 'Empower The Community Through Sports'.
